STORY.
Our Motivation.
After working at eight Australian Opens, coaching beginner players, and playing tennis since I was nine years old, I started to notice just how wasteful the sport could be. Every week during club competition, new cans of tennis balls were opened, used for only a few hours, then thrown away. It seemed ridiculous to me that something with so much value and material behind it could be discarded so quickly. That realisation became the starting point for Ludis.
Trial and Error.
Our purpose at Ludis is simple: stop sports balls from becoming waste. In the early days, that journey led us to sandals, an exciting first step that proved recycled tennis balls could become something valuable again. But sandals alone weren't going to move the needle.
So we went bigger. Ludis now makes sustainable shoe soles for the whole footwear industry, letting us recycle more balls, partner with more brands, and drive real change at scale..
Our Solution.
Behind the scenes, we’re working hard to bring Ludis soles to life and get them onto shelves as soon as possible. We already have eight interested footwear brands and are aiming to be in market by the end of this year.
